The Elusive Blue Rose

If you could not already guess, this blog is named after my personal favorite flower, the rose. A little clichéd, perhaps, but it is what it is.

All the same, I do not have such palpable fondness for all roses. Sure, I believe they all have their beauty, but only one has eluded me long enough to be the object of my deepest affections–the blue rose. I have searched all over in an attempt to find one, and have yet had no luck.

Many people tell me it does not exist. Perhaps that is true. But if there is the smallest chance that it is real, that there is a real blue rose, I dream to find it. If, on the off chance you have a picture (that you have taken and have the rights to) of a true blue rose, I would love to hear from you. I would be more than ecstatic to post the picture or pictures on this site (giving you your credit, of course), so just drop me a comment below.

On the same note, if you know of a place I could purchase the actual plant itself, please comment with the link. Someday, I will find the rose, whatever cost it may be.

And thank you so much for any and all help!

I love this thought… The search for the thing that makes you dream. Just the phrase conjures so many stories and dreams that could be. I’m looking forward to reading more of your poems and thoughts. You are so clearly expressive yet still leave enough hints of mystery to keep the reader interested in perusing. Thank you for all your comments on my poems and with your permission I’d like to write a story based on your phrase “the elusive blue rose”
